Black Jack ABC’s – Part One
The basic concept of the game is to be given cards adding up to twenty one. Every competitor is given 2 cards. When a black jack player is dealt a nine or lower value card and an Ace they have been handed a soft hand. When the gambler is dealt no Ace it is called as a hard hand. Once the cards have been given to every player at the blackjack table, which includes the dealer, every black jack player is provided the opportunity to make 1 of 6 choices:
Requesting another card (Hit): When a gambler says "hit" the croupier will deal them another card, if the addition of that card causes the value of the hand to exceed twenty one the blackjack player will have busted and be excluded from the game, if the card pushes the total to twenty one the blackjack player wins and if the value of the hand hasn’t yet reached twenty-one they are still in the game.
Keeping the hand you have been given: If a player is happy with the cards they will stand. Once this has happened the dealer will display his/her cards and the black jack player who has accumulated twenty one or the closet to twenty one will win.
Doubling Down: A black jack player may ask to double down which doubles the bet they have laid. As soon as you’ve taken this action you can only receive 1 more card. The details of doubling down are usually specified by the table or casino game rules so prior to wagering be certain you’re familiar with the casino established rules. If you are playing at a web-based casino this is usually quite easy.
